When a researcher scraped public pages on facebook to do studies of network graphs facebook threatened to sue him until he took the information down. Facebook didn’t want users to see how public their information really was. Well it looks like someone else was able to do the same kind of scraping and instead of publishing data they put the contents of 100 million users onto the peer-to-peer network for everyone to see.
