I just listened to a very thoughtful talk by Adam Greenfield on the topic of networked cities (http://blip.tv/file/2859703) at a venue called UrbanLabs’09. Some follow-ups for me from this are: “In the air”; “Uses of Disorder” vs. something like CitySense; safety vs. risk; Goffman; non-rival goods, in the economic sense.
