The logs include automatically sensed data on the roughness and noise level (amount of traffic) of the route, as well as permitting geo-tagged notes and images to be added. Cycloplan will extend the user-oriented geographic wiki (which allows bicyclists to create, modify and use a bike and street map for route-finding) to support use by planners. Possible uses include creating a comprehensive and accurate inventory of bicycle-related facilities for planning, as well as opening to door to participatory input from cyclists.
